NOT A RAVEN NEWSLETTER

Some weeks there just is no time. (Proof: this email is going out in text form, not all nice and pretty, and it is going out on a Thursday instead of last Monday, like it should have.)

But that's just the way of it, occasionally. Peter is buried in deadlines. Connor is buried in deadlines. And new officer assistant Johnsie Cagle is doing her level best to keep them both sane.

So why this message, now, instead of waiting a bit for things to calm down?

Here's why:

REASON #1: BIRTHDAY PARTY THIS SATURDAY!
.

Two days ago, on April 20th, Peter turned 71. But that was the day after he'd just gotten back from Chicago, so we delayed the picnic party until this weekend.

.

Hace dos días, concretamente el 20 de abril, Peter cumplió 71 años. Fue el día después de que volviese de Chicago, así que el picnic cumpleañil que tenía previsto para el fin de semana, se ha tenido que postponer.

If you are anywhere near Oakland, California on Saturday, and feel like coming by, please do! The party will run from 11 AM until 2 PM, and it will be held just west of the Lake Merritt Boating Center in Oakland's Lakeside Park. (For easy directions, just go to Google Maps and enter "Lake Merritt Boating Center, Oakland, CA.")

There's a bunch of stuff about to break in the RAVEN. So much stuff, in fact, that we may put out more than one newsletter just to give these announcements the focus they deserve. Meanwhile, however, here are some hints.

-- There's a brand-new play opening in San Francisco next month based on four of Peter's stories. (Try googling GIANT BONES and "Exit Theatre," if you're curious.) There's a *lot* to share on this story, including news of the three unique limited editions that are spinning out of it. You'll hear about all of this between now and Sunday morning.

Habrá una nueva representación teatral en San Francisco el mes que viene, basada en 4 historias de Peter (del libro Giant Bones). Hay mucho que anunciar en este evento, entre otras la única y exclusiva edición limitada que podréis adquirir allí.

-- Peter has finished the one-year writing portion of his 52/50 PROJECT, but there's still a wrinkle or two to surprise you with. You'll hear about that by late next Monday.

Peter ha acabado el 52/50 Project que le ha llevado un año entero, pero hay todavía algunas sorpresas que os aguardan. Se sabrá más el próximo lunes.

-- Finally, there's MAJOR GOOD NEWS about the long-awaited LAST UNICORN audiobook/TWO HEARTS hardcover combination. It is now firmly scheduled for release in mid-November, just in time for Christmas shipping. Hurray! (There's also one other bit of news about this project, but we can't shout it from the rooftops until we get confirmation that the contract has been signed. Once we do know this for sure, though...oh boy! It's really great news, and you're going to like it.)

I finalmente ... HAY NOTICIONES ACERCA DEL AUDIOBOOK DE THE LAST UNICORN/TWO HEARTS que vendrá con una edición de tapa dura. Ya es oficial y se publicará en noviembre, justo para las compras navideñas. ¡Qué guay! Además, hay otro bombazo de notición que todavía no se puede confirmar porque está pendiente de firmar el contrato pero en cuanto se anuncie, ya veréis ...
